Beginning September 15, 2012, Walgreens will return as an in-network pharmacy for the Blue Choice HMO and HSA Open Access plans.  This change means that new and existing Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) members will have access to more than 64,000 in-network retail pharmacies across the country.

BCBS is working to ensure a smooth transition for members who may wish to transfer their prescriptions to Walgreens. In most cases, members may simply take their medicine bottle to the new drug store and the drug store will transfer the prescription.  Members can also continue to use their current pharmacy.
