Employment Verification
Requests to verify employment are completed daily on a first come, first served basis, responded to within five working days, and returned to the requestor by fax typically within twenty-four hours of receipt. Requests should be faxed to us, Attention Records at 404.385.0765. For further information, you may refer to our employment verification help line at 404.894.6911. During unusually high volume periods, processing may take up to two to five business days.
Please be advised that verbal confirmation of employment and character references will not be provided by the Records unit.
Employment Letters
At the employee’s request, the Records Office will prepare an official letter of employment, limited to five originals. Twenty-four hours advanced notice is required. This letter will include the employee’s employment dates, position and work department. If salary information is to be included in the letter, the employee must also submit a signed consent form with his or her request.
