The Homer Rice Center for Sports Performance building at Bobby Dodd Way and Techwood Avenue houses two great services that are available to our staff and students.

The staff specializes in the evaluation and treatment of orthopedic and sports-related injuries, utilizing exercise prescription and manual therapy techniques. The facility has computerized isokinetic testing equipment, a hydrotherapy room, a full line of Cybex weight training equipment and will consult on orthotic fabrication and sports equipment modification. Staff are also specialized in the Dontigny method and strain-counter–strain accutherapy methods which are used in the treatment of neck and back dysfunction.
The clinic also provides chiropractic services from Dr. Randy Rhino. Hours of operation are 9 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday. Please call 385-0446 for an appointment. No referral is required. Blue Cross Blue Shield POS and HMO are accepted.
Dr. Rhino has been the team chiropractor for all GT varsity student athletes since 2002 and is now available to serve GT staff and students. He is a 1976 graduate of GT and subsequently graduated from Life College in 1983 with his chiropractic degree. He has been in private practice for over 26 years. Dr. Rhino uses full spine, diversified techniques along with distraction work on low backs and disc injuries. He also performs all modalities associated with athletic injuries, heat, ice, electric current, ultra sound and traction. Dr Rhino also performs Active Release Techniques (ART). ART is a non invasive soft tissue treatment process that both locates and breaks down the scar tissue and adhesions that cause pain, stiffness, weakness, numbness, and physical dysfunctions associated with Repetitive Strain Injuries. ART is used both for the treatment of RSI injuries and for the improvement of athletic performance.
Dr. Rhino is also a ProAdjuster Chiropractor. The ProAdjuster brings NASA technology to chiropractic. Now thanks to space age technology, chiropractic analysis and adjustments can be more objective and precise. Technology similar to that used by NASA to evaluate the integrity of ceramic cooling tiles on the outside of the space shuttle is now being used by the chiropractor to evaluate movement of spinal joints. The ProAdjuster will gently adjust the joints to restore normal movement. The adjustment is computer controlled and utilizes a gentle tapping motion to create movement.
Metered and golf cart parking spaces near entrance to the building are available.
